How to get there - SEE Learning Symposium Munich

Close to the city centre of Munich, the Schwaneck Castle youth hostel is the idyllic location for the SEE Project’s Learning Symposium. The nature experience centre/ youth education centre is located on the outskirts of Pullach, approximately ten km south from Munich. The old listed walls from the 19th century and the quiet location on the high banks of the Isar give the castle its special charm. The walking and cycling paths begin right behind the castle, some of which lead around a hundred metres down to the sandy bank of the Isar, which has been extensively renovated in recent years. Learning Symposium Program

The symposium is an opportunity to bring together an international audience from both the outdoor sports sector and the environmental protection sector to share ideas, transfer knowledge and work on future collaborations. The program will include ample opportunities to learn and network from one another through various facilitated networking sessions with project partners and experts, interactive activities, and demonstrations of the SEE Educational Toolkit. Call for contributions - International Learning Symposium

From 13th - 15th November 2023, the SEE partnership (Sustainability and Environmental Education in outdoor sports project) is inviting representatives from outdoor sports and nature conservation to network, share ideas and inspiring initiatives to make outdoor sports more sustainable and protect the places we love. If your organisation has been involved in some aspect of innovative sustainable or environmental education practices, then we would love to hear about it and share your ideas with others. SEE PROJECT INTERNATIONAL LEARNING SYMPOSIUM

The partners of the Sustainability and Environmental Education in Outdoor Sports project (SEE) invite you to attend the final Project Learning Symposium in Munich from the 13th – to 15th of November, 2023. The main program scheduled for the 14th of November. The SEE Project aims to enhance the protection of natural landscapes through education in and through sport with special focus on responsible outdoor behaviour and skills development for outdoor sports leaders, trainers, guides, or instructors. During the SEE Learning Symposium, hosted at the beautiful Burg Schwaneck just outside of Munich, attendees will learn about today’s challenges and opportunities regarding outdoor sports practiced in (protected) natural areas and how to address these through newly developed training methodologies in outdoor sports education. Training providers from across Europe test and evaluate draft toolkit

Last week 13 selected training providers met in La Seu d’Urgell for an intensive two-day train-the-trainer program with the leaders from each project partner of the SEE project. The 13 training providers from 8 different EU countries, represented outdoor sports like hiking, climbing, mountaineering, surfing, swimming, sailing, canoeing, mountain biking, caving, and orienteering.
