Where Sport Meets Nature - The final dissemination event
During November 13th-15th, stakeholders from outdoor sports, education, environment and the EU political realm were invited to Munich for the final dissemination of the EU Erasmus + project – Sustainability and Environmental Education in Outdoor Sports (The SEE Project). After three years of hard work, the project partners were delighted to come together and celebrate the completion of four impactful project reports, a European best-practices guide, and an Educational Toolkit.
The learning symposium was a great opportunity to bring together an international audience from both the outdoor sports sector and the environmental protection sector to share ideas, transfer knowledge and work on future collaborations. The intensive two-day program, allowed participants to dive deeper into identified key topics related to outdoor sports such as equipment and consumption, carbon footprints, nature connectedness, place attachment and much, much more. Participants were given hands-on experience with the Toolkit through several practical workshop sessions which included testing toolkit activities. The program also included inspirational talks from game changers in environmental activism, including athletes from Protect Our Winters and Patagonia.
The educational toolkit will available to the public at the end of December 2023.
